When you leave our office after your implant procedure you will have a fully functional set of teeth. However, we must wait until you recover to complete the final steps of your treatment. Over the next few months, your implants will fuse to your jawbone in a process known as osseointegration. When osseointegration is complete we can confidently design a permanent crown, bridge, or denture that fits the precise dimensions of your jaw.
Are Implants Worth It?
It is important to understand that dental implants are an investment. While their up front costs are more expensive than traditional tooth restoration options, they pay off in several ways down the road. First, by preventing bone recession implants can save you from developing serious oral health problems and needing expensive future treatment. Certain implant-supported restorations like dentures also last longer than their traditional counterparts, and will need far fewer replacements over the course of a lifetime.
